Sixteen little machines, one job: make your next line sing.
Every tool below runs free, in your browser — no sign-up, no upload, your lyric never leaves the page. One tool is live today; the rest are built and labeled Ready, shipping as fast as they get polished. Pick a check, a starter, or an export — the whole bench is one click away.
What this toolbox is
Four kinds of job, sixteen tools. Pick the shelf that matches where you’re stuck.
Writing checks
Score a finished draft — AI tells, hook stickiness, rhyme shape, flow, similarity. The checks flag the weak spots line by line; you do the rewriting.
Idea starters
When the page is blank, open a generator. First lines, bridges, final lines, punchlines, acrostics, and a vault of 80+ ready hook shapes to borrow from.
Visual exports
Turn one finished line into a poster, a karaoke run-through, or a phone / desktop wallpaper PNG. No design skills needed — the layout is done for you.
Style experiments
Compare eras, blend two styles, hear how a verse actually sings. These are the toys — the rest are the tools.
Core checks
Run your current draft through these first. They catch the problems you can’t see from inside the verse.
Lyrics AI-ness Detector
LiveScore how much a lyric reads like a machine wrote it — zombie phrases, generic imagery, repetitive structure, and abstract fluff, flagged line by line.
Open the tool →Hook-o-Meter
LiveScore how memorable your chorus is across repetition, short lines, rhyme density, and simple words, with the exact weak spots flagged.
Open the tool →Rhyme Density Map
LiveDraw your lyric’s rhyme structure as letter groups — AABB, ABAB, or free verse — and see which line endings are orphans.
Open the tool →Style & analysis
Understand what your verse actually sounds like — which decade, how it sings, how close it is to something else.
Style Era Detector
LivePaste a verse and see which decade — 60s soul, 80s stadium, 90s alt, 00s emo, 10s festival, or modern — your lyric actually sounds like, with the evidence words highlighted.
Open the tool →Flow Readability Score
LiveScore how easy your lyric is to actually sing aloud — syllable density, breath pauses, big words, and rhyme runs, with the tongue-twister lines flagged.
Open the tool →Lyrics Similarity Checker
LivePaste two lyrics side by side and see exactly where they copy each other — identical lines, near-duplicates, shared phrases, rhyme tails, and imagery, listed pair by pair.
Open the tool →Line & section generators
Stuck on a first line, a bridge, a closing punch? These hand you shapes to fill in with your own words.
First Line Generator
LivePick a style and a theme, get three opening lines that could start a verse, each with a note on why it works as a first line.
Open the tool →Bridge Builder
LivePick a theme and a mood, get two bridge directions — a hard contrast or a lift — drawn as A-bridge-B, each with a note on why it works.
Open the tool →Hook Vault
LiveBrowse 80+ ready hook phrases by mood and style, each tagged with its syllable rhythm (1-1-3), copy the shape and write your own words.
Open the tool →Final Line Generator
LivePick a theme and a short note about your song, get three different last lines — a wrap-up, a linger-on-an-image, and a title punch.
Open the tool →Acrostic Lyric Builder
LiveType a word and get one lyric line per letter, arranged vertically so the left edge spells the word back.
Open the tool →Punchline Generator
LiveGet three ways to land a line at once — a double meaning, an expectation flip, and a straight banger.
Open the tool →Visual & canvas
When one line finally lands, these turn it into something you can post, rehearse, or set as wallpaper.
Lyric Art Poster
LivePaste a line, pick a paper/ink/cream background, alignment and size, and get a clean 1080×1350 lyric poster PNG ready to post.
Open the tool →Karaoke Styler
LiveRehearse any lyric word-by-word karaoke-style, at slow/normal/fast speed, to catch lines that read fine on paper but rush when sung.
Open the tool →Lyrics-to-Wallpaper
LiveSet one lyric line as a phone lock-screen (1080×1920) or desktop (1920×1080) wallpaper on a clean ink/paper/cream background and download it as PNG.
Open the tool →Experiments
One off-the-shelf toy. Pick two styles and see what happens when they collide.
Style Hybrid
LivePick any two of eight styles and get a named blend, what each style contributes, six sample verse lines, where the two styles will fight and how to fix it.
Open the tool →How to use the toolbox
Three moves, top to bottom. You don’t need all sixteen — most days you need one.
- Run a check on your current draft. Start with the AI-ness detector. Read the flagged lines, not the score. The flags tell you what to rewrite.
- Open a generator when you’re stuck. Blank verse? Try the first-line generator. Bridge going nowhere? The bridge builder gives you two directions. Need a closing punch? The final-line generator has three shapes.
- Export the line that works. When one line finally lands, drop it into the lyric poster or wallpaper tool and post it. A finished line shared beats ten lines hidden in a draft.
About this toolbox
Built by Alex, the one-person operation behind FreeLyricsAI. I got tired of opening ten different tabs — a rhyme dictionary on one, an AI detector on another, a canvas tool on a third — so I built the whole drawer into one shelf. Every tool here is something I actually reach for in my own writing week.
They all run in your browser, because I’d rather this stay a writing bench than become another thing that watches you. If a check feels wrong or a generator keeps handing you the same shape, the code lives right in the page source — steal it, argue with it, and tell me where I went wrong.
